I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
